| Winfall was abandoned outside in an apartment complex and was rescued by a CCA volunteer. She was emaciated, matted, hungry, and terrified. We don't know her backstory, but we discovered she was a senior kitty with chronic kidney disease, arthritis, and partial blindness who needed treatment for coccidia and upper respiratory tract infections. Once the infections were treated, she moved into permanent foster and requires a prescription-only diet for her chronic kidney disease.
Today she is a gorgeous, fluffy, and talkative little lady who loves to chase and share cat toys with her younger foster sister, Nimbus. Her arthritis and vision problems do not slow her down at all! She will live out her days in a warm loving home, always with a full belly, and far away from the deplorable conditions she was found in.

| Nimbus was found in a condemned housing complex that was scheduled to be demolished. She was emaciated, matted, weak, and was so sick with an upper respiratory tract infection that the veterinarians believed she would not have survived much longer had she not been rescued.
Today Nimbus is plump, playful, and absolutely loves the indoor life in foster. She adores her foster sister, Winfall, and they play together every day. Nimbus is still recovering from the respiratory infection and needs daily antibiotics, antivirals, nebulizers, and prescription nosedrops. It will be several months before she is healthy enough for adoption. We are here for Nimbus every step of the way and for as long as it takes to get her there.

| Once again, we didn't have room. However, Sweety showed up at someone's house completely matted and sick with URI. The finders took her to vet for antibiotics, but that was the most the vet would do at that time due to the baby being so sick. Sweety’s finders spent all they had trying to save her but she was constantly constipated and reached a point where they could not spend anymore. The finders reached out to us for help. We always ask that people do just a little bit more and they had done that. So, room or not, we took this baby in. We have had Sweety 1.5 years and requires a special diet.

| Flame came to us 2 years ago. He was brought to us in the most amazing way. His finder didn't have a carrier, so he improvised. He brought flame in a plastic tote with air holes drilled in secured with luggage straps. This is what I call going all out. I named him Flame because he looked like he had walked through fire. His fur was black missing patches of fur everywhere. His first diagnosis was ringworm. After months of treatment, he was finally cleared of ringworm but still looked a mess. Realizing we were dealing with food allergies, the real treatment began. We have finally found a food that does not make him itch. Once his hair grew back, we were able to test different foods. Unfortunately, the food we found that works is very expensive. If anyone would like to be his monthly sponsor, please sign up. This boy really is deserving he sleeps with me every night, letting me know he is super grateful for the extra care. His finder deserves many heartfelt thanks he still checks in on him to this day.

| DJ came to us 5 years ago. He was trapped by accident when CCA was out trying to trap another cat that was stuck on an electric pole for days. He was blind in one eye and did not look healthy. He was taken to the vets and sure enough, he was blocked with crystals and needed a Urethrostomy and needed to be put on special food. A feral cat cannot be released when they require a special diet. We looked for an Angel follower who would be willing to share their home with a special cat. However, we got no takers. DJ has remained here the whole time. He definitely gets excited at dinner time and lets me know when it’s dinner time and treat time. We flirt with each other using our eyes and can sneak pets in. He gets along well with the other cats, he plays and cuddles.
